Michelle Lawrence

Miche Lawrence

Groom

Miche is an experienced groom and yard manager with a strong background in equestrian grooming at both national and international levels. With numerous CDI competitions under her belt, Miche brings calm professionalism and a passion for exceptional horse care — whether at home on the yard or travelling abroad with the team.

As one of our trusted dressage grooms, Miche supports both horses and riders through every step of training and competition. Her dedication ensures horses are not only well-presented, but also happy, healthy, and mentally prepared to perform.

She’s especially supportive of younger or first-time competitors, helping them gain confidence and practical knowledge around the stable.

🧼 Grooming Tips from Miche (For Young Riders):

  • Start with the hooves – Cleaning feet before and after riding is the foundation of good horse care.
  • Choose the right tools – Use a dandy brush for mud, a body brush for coat shine, and a soft brush for sensitive areas.
  • Keep your kit clean – Organised tack and tidy brushes are part of professional equestrian grooming.
  • Notice the little things – Grooming daily helps you spot small changes in your horse’s health early.
  • Make it bonding time – Grooming builds trust and strengthens the connection between rider and horse.

Miche’s approach reflects everything we value at Under 21 Dressage UK — support, attention to detail, and a love for the horses at the heart of it all.
